Capture, utilisation and storage of biogenic CO₂

Dumfries and Galloway firm Carbon Capture Scotland have announced its latest project which aims to remove one millions tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere per year. Its carbon removal initiative, named Project Nexus, will also aim to generate up to 500 jobs across rural Scotland by 2030. The £120m investment will consist of a series of infrastructure and supply chain projects that allow for a sustainable and commercial means of carbon dioxide removal, starting in 2023 with projects in central and northern Scotland.
