Double J Farms X Nori

Regenerate the Earth

We started ridge tilling in the early 80’s as a way to reduce tillage, fuel, fertilizer, and chemicals. We later switched to zone, vertical, and no till in 2013 when ridge till became too labor intensive. Then, we started using more hog manure and chicken litter in 2013. We’ve started to use more cover crops recently and we like to look at fields with residue or cover.

Equatic LA Pilot

Equatic LA Pilot

Los Angeles, CA, USA

Equatic’s seawater electrolysis couples carbon dioxide removal (CDR) from the atmosphere with the generation of green hydrogen at the lowest costs.

Equatic spun out from the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering’s Institute for Carbon Management to deploy the first technology that combines carbon dioxide (CO2) removal and carbon-negative hydrogen generation. Addressing both legacy and future emissions in a single process, the multi-product climate solution enables decarbonization at the scale, speed and cost necessary to mitigate climate change. Equatic will remove 62,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide and will deliver 2,100 metric tons of carbon-negative hydrogen to Boeing.

Minus Materials Regenerative Limestone Quarry

Minus Materials Regenerative Limestone Quarry

Boulder, CO, USA

Using algae to generate carbon negative limestone for cement!

With this breakthrough demonstration project Minus Materials will install and operate a first-of-its-kind “regenerative quarry” pilot project in Boulder County that will support the production of carbon-negative biorenewable limestone using microalgae. Limestone produced can be used as a substitute for conventional emissions intensive ‘clinker’, the base component of Portland cement.

World’s first ultra-low carbon concrete mineralizes atmospheric carbon

CarbonBuilt produces the world’s first ultra-low carbon concrete blocks. The new blocks reduce embodied carbon by 70-100+% through cement replacement and by mineralizing atmospheric CO2. They cost no more to produce than traditional concrete. More plants are in development.

Carbon Capsule Pilot Unit at MDavis & Sons

Kennett Square, PA, USA

Modular direct air capture, energy savings, and improved indoor air quality for buildings.

Carbon Reform’s Carbon Capsule achieves permanent carbon capture, contributing to the reduction of carbon footprints in alignment with corporate and building owners’ climate strategies. Through cutting-edge carbon capture technology, Carbon Reform ensures that captured CO2 is stored in a carbon-negative limestone, offering an effective and reusable solution for reducing carbon footprints. That limestone can be used in steel and glass manufacturing, mining, paper production, water treatment and purification, and agriculture, just to name a few. It’s pilot project is now collecting valuable data on its ability to effectively capture excess carbon dioxide (CO2) and enhance indoor air quality.

Harbourview Farms x Nori

5376 Eastern Neck Road, Rock Hall, MD 21661, USA

Regenerate the earth

Harborview Farms is working to bring some game-changing new ideas to farming. How? By approaching farming as a creative endeavor, exploring new techniques, and connecting dots in new ways that others aren’t willing to try. At Harborview, we believe farmland isn’t a commodity to be used up, it’s a canvas on which to create something new, meaningful and effective. And we’ll continue working hard to see what new things we can discover with it.

Eion

Eion

Mississippi, USA

works with American heartland communities to safely and permanently remove CO2.

Eion is a carbon removal company. We use the Earth’s natural mineralization cycle to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere safely, permanently, and verifiably. Eion works closely with farmers, ranchers, and existing agriculture systems to improve soil health and create jobs in rural communities.

Buys waste biomass and encases it preventing decomposition.

Combining photosynthesis with practical engineering, Graphyte’s Carbon Casting technology provides an immediate pathway for billions of tons of low-cost, permanent carbon removal. With levelized production costs at under $100/ton with minimal energy requirements, we can remove CO2 for 1,000+ years. Graphyte is in the process of building its first plant in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, near local timber and rice mills that could serve as biomass sources. The facility will, at first, be able to process and store carbon at a rate of about 5,000 tons per year, but the goal is to expand that processing capacity to a rate of 50,000 tons per year in 2024 as well.
